Hi, My name is Laura Sfiat and I thank you for visiting my site. This site has a curated selection of works, more samples can be found in my blog, Behance portfolio and social media.

I have done illustration for over twenty years. I currently work as a graphic designer for a creative services firm in Boston. In January 2014 I founded Urban Sketchers Boston, a local community of sketching enthusiasts. My goal was to promote the practice of hand renderings, drafting by hand seems to have become a lost art. It is an indispensable skill in all graphics professions.

I have traditional training in hand rendering techniques from architectural college from back in the 1990’s. Additionally, portraiture has been a focus of my development for personal enjoyment.
